    • The brief: This interior design project concerns a villa under construction in Marrakech, Morocco, with a total surface of 350 m² (158 m² of which were designed by our studio). The mission covered all the living and reception spaces : two reception lounges, a TV lounge, the dining room, and the master suite with its private lounge. A particular request from the client : a 100% Roche Bobois furnishing, in line with his commitment to international standing. Our role was to compose, working from this constraint, a true villa identity faithful to Moroccan lifestyle codes, where contemporary luxury dialogues with local traditions.

    • The master suite is organised lengthways, traversing the volume with two terraces on either side. At the entrance to the bedroom, a private lounge composed of two welcoming armchairs with footstools in golden tones echoes the artwork dressing the gold-leaf wall, an echo picked up by the floor lamp that also serves as accent lighting in the evening. The armchairs, turned towards the television, create a private TV space at a distance from the sleeping area, preserving the intimacy of the bed. For this night-time area, we delineated the space with wooden slat partitions that let light pass through without blocking the view. These partitions rhythm the room and add an extra layer of warmth to the existing parquet flooring. The wide headboard, in beige and grey tones, integrates wooden bedside tables topped by pendant lights matched to the lounge floor lamp, while a beige and green rug beneath the bed creates a visual link with the entrance to the suite.

    • The first reception lounge, set slightly further back yet open onto the main living space, adopts a more local design rooted in Moroccan tradition. A U-shaped composition of seating wraps the entire perimeter of the room ; the cushions rest on platforms positioned in a rhythmic pattern that visually lighten the structure of the sofa. Each cushion fabric was selected one by one in a harmonious palette, offering the space genuine coherence while preserving its luxurious dimension. Two identical rugs face each other, separated by small rounded poufs. The chandeliers and coffee tables play on the symmetry of the room, and a wooden cladding at the back brings depth and warmth, sublimated by a composition of frames at its centre.

    • The second reception lounge, smaller in scale, sits perpendicular to the large bay window opening onto the garden and pool. It is organised perpendicular to an openwork partition integrating shelves on either side of a central through-fireplace. A palette in orange tones characterises this space, while the wood of the shelves extends into the framing of the opening towards the first lounge, creating a visual link between the two rooms.

    • The dining room is located on a slightly raised floor compared to the lounges. Its separation from the second reception lounge is achieved through a designer sideboard. The atmosphere here becomes more refined : a black and white palette gives it a strongly graphic character, sublimated by a rug featuring mashrabiya patterns, a nod to Moroccan identity.

    • The TV lounge, finally, sits on the other side of the openwork wall of the second lounge. The through-fireplace allows one to enjoy the fire while keeping a partial view of the main room, in a deliberately more intimate space. A wide sofa with welcoming lines faces a large screen, perfect for family moments, completed by storage units for books and games.

This project illustrates an essential dimension of our approach : adapting interior design to the culture, codes and lifestyle of our clients, whatever the country. The Marrakech Villa demonstrates our ability to operate internationally on prestige projects, where every detail must combine contemporary standing with respect for local traditions. An expertise particularly precious for high-end villas in Morocco and the Maghreb region, where cultural identity is an essential component of luxury.
